24 hours to liftoff

Between all the flights and the to-and-fro airport shuttling on both ends, I figure I’ll have 34 hours of limited sleep. Which makes it kind of imperative that I sleep well this week. I am a rubber band though, taut and ready to spring, sleep useless.

What a thing, what a thing! I am truly stepping into the abyss in the very best of ways.

The Adventure Begins

Well, my docs folder is exploding with Africa lists: packing lists, daily budgets, itinerary details, baggage restrictions per airline, lodging breakdowns, expense sheets and lists of things I need to print for the four airlines I’ll need to take to get there.

What if I just folded them all up and paper airplaned them into the fire?

Could I be that kind of rebel?

I’m feeling like I’m on a precipice today. I’m in that lovely “first time” zone where everything is new and interesting and fresh. It seems like a great time to step out of old patterns and see what else emerges.

Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
